Conference with Angela Joyce - The child’s ability to play

The Hellenic Psychoanalytical Society
Child and Adolescent Training Program
is pleased to announce
A two-day conference with Angela Joyce on the theme

The child’s ability to play

What does it mean to be able to play?  How do we understand the absence of this ability in children? This two-day conference will focus on theory and clinical work based on the work of Donald Winnicott and Anna Freud.

The presentations by Angela Joyce will be followed by discussion with the audience lead by Sotiris Manolopoulos, Denny Panitz and Athanasios Alexandridis, training analysts of the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society Child and Adolescent Training (ITTP) program.

Angela Joyce is a training analyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society. A child and adolescent psychoanalyst, her work, writing and teaching follows the tradition of Anna Freud and Donald Winnicott. She is involved in pioneering psychoanalytic work with infants and parents. Presently she is involved in a revival of interest in training in the analysis of children and adolescents.
